Today, we introduce you to Wellness Advocate, Music Lover, and Global Explorer, Elif. She is a Turkish Dj that is based in Istanbul.
Elif, we love your music. Tell us how did you end up being a bad ass female dj?
I centered my life around music: I was attending festivals, concerts then I would blog about the experiences. I made mixtapes, created playlists, and even managed an indie rock band. Essentially, I was obsessed with music, but never believed I was an artist myself. I eventually discovered my passion for mixing and making music. All I needed was a little courage to convince myself that I too could be an artist! (A really good book I can suggest for anyone struggling with this would be The Artist’s Way)
Who are you fave role models in life and in music?
My music role models are Mira and Oliver Koletzki, my life role model is my mom.
What are your fave events up to date?
Mira's Birthday in Kater Blau, Parties with The Gardens of Babylon, Stil Vor Talent, A Tribe Called Kotori and the most recent Mezcal Amores Experience.
As a Global Explorer, what is your favorite city?
Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Amsterdam.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Watching cartoons while eating alone
What do you like most about ICBRKR?
I like that the events are experience and community oriented
